our user base has exploded lately and its been a wild ride. thx to everyone whos been with us since day one and welcome to all the new faces. you are why we do this.

our infrastructure is now handling billions of interactions a week. weve completely overhauled our backend but software being soft always leads to hiccups but we recover quicker now.

the community janitorai has built is incredible - you guys keep pushing whats possible and we are just trying to keep up with your creativity. every character, every interaction shapes what we are building next.

Moderation That Makes Sense

Moderation is hard af and we are learning as we go. Our goal is simple: make a safe place for creative freedom while protecting our awesome creators from harassment and keeping abusers off the platform. The support with the image change really is helping keep janitorai around for the long run.

i personally use the site for the same stuff you do. janitorai literally exists because of other sites strict filters - we are not compromising on that core identity.

ive had limited bandwidth lately, but we’re expanding the team and accelerating development. ambitious but we’re making real progress every day.

Tech That Gets Out of Your Way

we’re obsessed with making the technical stuff invisible. you shouldnt have to understand vector embeddings or knowledge graphs to create amazing characters. the tools should just work, giving you the power to focus on the creative part.

our new features are designed to be both incredibly powerful and stupidly simple to use. drag and drop lore into your character’s knowledge base, and they will just get it. no more copy-pasting context or trying to cram everything into a character card.

The Community

our community is what sets us apart. you all keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, finding creative workarounds, and sharing techniques that are very cool, wink wink to the css discussion thread.

we are still a small team, but we’re building infrastructure that punches way above our weight. i couldnt have more fun working on anything else. janitorai is special, and we want it around forever.

ultimately we just wanna make the tools as wide as possible and see what you create. thats the whole vision - giving you the power to build worlds limited only by your imagination, not by our tech.
